Chairlift Co. was born on a run.
After hours of wrestling with names, I laced up my shoes and set off on my usual route, about a mile from home, at the base of Baldy in Sun Valley, Idaho. I paused to catch my breath, looked up, and saw the chairlifts rising into the sky. In that moment, the name clicked: Chairlift.
The meaning runs deeper than chance. Sun Valley is home to the world's first chairlift. It was built to make the climb easier, so more people could get to what mattered.
That's the whole idea behind Chairlift Co.
We're all climbing something. A career, a family, a version of ourselves we're trying to hold together. Most of us have gotten good at making the climb look effortless. But effortless isn't the same as easy and everyone, eventually, needs a lift.
Breathwork is ours. It doesn't skip the climb. It just gives you a lift, so you don't have to do it alone.

Heidi Horan
Heidi's mission is simple: break the stigma around mental health and show people that feeling, not suppressing, is the path to healing and high performance. It's the belief behind her rallying cry, crying is cool, and the reason she's dedicated her work to tearing down the walls we build around our emotions.
Her own journey into somatic breathwork began in 2017, after two panic attacks and years of quietly battling anxiety and depression led her to a practice that changed everything. What started as her own healing has become her life's work, and now, she's sharing it with the world.

Nicole Taylor
Nicole keeps Chairlift running. She grew up in Sun Valley, skied for Middlebury, and has spent her life around people who push hard. She gets what it takes to perform, and what it costs.
She and Heidi met on a yoga mat in San Francisco, long before Chairlift existed. They've been each other's yin and yang ever since. Where Heidi dreams it up, Nicole makes it real. If a class starts on time, a studio feels right, or a detail actually gets handled, that's Nicole.
Head of Operations
Anyone who knows Maggie knows she's the mayor of every room she walks into. She has a zest for life, and she brings that energy straight into Chairlift, making sure every person who walks through the door feels it too.
Maggie comes from an extensive background in behavioral health and is a certified coach. She and Heidi first worked together at Headspace, long before Chairlift existed, and that shared history is part of what makes their partnership here so natural. Maggie knows how to hold space for people, and that's exactly what she does now.
